It all started with creation
Before the formation of any nation
It was God who created
His earth high was rated
The earth thick with vegetation
Animals filled creation
And it was good.
Out of the dust, God created man.
Out of man’s rib, He created woman.
And it was good.
God said, "Eat from all trees
Except from one tree. Its price is not free."
But the serpent was a troublemaker
The woman became a forbidden-fruit-taker
She bit into it
And gave it to the man
God said,
"Man, you shall work the fields and pull weeds!
"Woman, you shall have pain in childbirth!
"Serpent, you shall crawl on the ground!"
And it was so.
Sin entered the world
Humankind’s consciences were whirled
Excepting Noah and his kin
God sent to earth a great flood
Which destroyed all humankind
Excepting Noah and his kin
And two of every animal
The waters receded
The earth to Noah was ceded
And God sent a rainbow
To show that no flood like that would ever return to His earth
Sin re-entered the world.
God’s beautiful creation
Was once more defiled
And to this day
Men still sin their lives away
Worshipping idols of stone
And technology. And mortal humans.
One day, God will come
And take those who are bought by His blood
Those who tarry on the earth
Will remain forever in torment
God will reign on His beautiful earth
With His people
With no sin.
Are you ready for that day?
Just fall on your knees and pray.
