I Will Praise the Lord

During his sermon one Sunday, our pastor had us write something giving thanks to God. It could be in the form of poetry or prose. I chose poetry. I wrote about how God miraculously healed my eyes when I was little. I should be blind now, but I am not!

I will praise the Lord
For He has healed my eyes
My vision was leaving me
And His children prayed

I will praise the Lord
For my brothers and sisters who prayed
Their cries reached Heaven
And God heard and healed

I will praise the Lord
For giving me my sight
Right now I should be blind
But that was not God's will

I will praise the Lord
To Him I give all the glory,
All the praise and all the honor
I cannot thank Him enough for my vision!
